C Team Match Report, 04.10.08
Cumberland C Team encountered a strong Hyde Park A Team in the NLNL on Saturday. After victory over Hyde B the weekend before, we knew we would be in for a challenging match from the off.
Excellent attacking play during the first quarter meant we were 1 goal up going into the second quarter. Despite strong defence, we couldn't hold off the Hyde Park attack, and they pulled away to lead by 6 goals at half time. We kept fighting back, and a team shuffle gave us renewed energy in the last quarter.

Cumberland C made a great start in division one of the Middlesex County League, winning their first match. After a strong start in the 1st quarter the girls went on to dominate the 2nd quarter only allowing Old Actonians to score 1 goal. It was a real team effort with tight defence and good support bringing the ball through the midcourt, but player of the match , Chimene Painter, really contributed to the win with her excellent positioning in the circle and accurate shooting. The final score was 42-23.
