Trial dates - Squad 1 dates amended, please take note:

Squad 2 Trials - Saturday 14th August 10am-2pm - registration at 9.30am
Squad 1 Trials - Wednesday 11th and Wednesday 18th August 7.30pm-9.30pm - registration from 7.15pm

Please complete a trial registration form before 11th August 2010: this can be downloaded from the Downloads page, and should be sent to our Enquiries Secretary Caroline Chilton.

Please see the information below which should help you to decide which Squad you should be trialling for. If you attend Squad 2 trials on the Saturday, and are of the required standard, you may be asked to return for Squad 1 trials on following Wednesday. If you attend Squad 1 trials and are not of the required standard you will be selected for a Squad 2 team.

Squad 2 players will commence pre-season training on Wednesday 11th August at 7.30pm, and may also be asked to join in with matchplay for Squad 1 if required.

There is a trial fee of £5 which you should bring with you on the day.

What are we looking for?

Squad 1 are looking for talented players who have experience playing at the very highest competitive levels of netball. For example players who have recently competed at one or more of the following levels (this is not an exhaustive list but is meant to give you an idea of the level of player we are looking for):
- Superleague or National Talent League
- National Premier League
- Regional League
- Regional Excel Programme
- County League, Premier Division

Squad 2 are looking for players who have a good level of playing ability. For example players who have recently played at one or more of the following levels (again this is not an exhaustive list):
- County League
- Local League
- Club netball
- University or College netball
- If you’re aged between 15-18, school netball
- Reasonable standard of social or mixed netball

If you have not played netball before or for a very long time please get in touch with us to discuss the most suitable opportunity for you to play. We are currently coaching some Back to Netball Courses with England Netball in Barnet and Camden and also have links with social netball teams in the area.

What will happen on the day?

Make sure you turn up in suitable playing kit, bring plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat or waterproofs etc. depending on the weather.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the times stated above, in order to register. Please ensure you bring with you your £5 trial fee (if you do not bring this on the day you may not be able to trial).

The trials for each squad will take the following format:
- Warm-Up
- Skills and Drills
- Games
- Cool Down
- Debrief

Selectors will be noting your abilities throughout each of the sections, as well as your ability to listen and put into practice instructions.

Pre Season Training

Training will commence in full on Wednesday 1st September (when membership subs are due) with the first matches on Saturday 4th September.

There is a pre-season training fee of £5 per session.

If you pay your membership fees and fill in your membership form prior to 11th August you will not have to pay the trial fee or the pre-season training fees. You will have to continue to pay a £5 training fee for every session you attend until we receive your membership fees and forms (which is non-refundable and non-transferable to your membership fees). You will also not be eligible to compete in matches until you pay your membership fees and filled in a membership form.

Membership fees for the 2010-11 season are £170 for seniors, £100 for students and £85 for juniors.
